Transfer Costs

Once your offer to purchase has been accepted, you will incur certain costs to transfer the property into your name from the current owner. Transfer fees are paid to the transferring attorney, appointed by the property’s seller to transfer ownership to you. This cost varies, depending on the purchase price and comprise the conveyancer’s fees, and the transfer duty payable to SARS. Transfer duties only apply to properties valued at more than R1 100 000
